Casting Requirements

  • Cast must exceed desired brace height and must have no holes in the negative mold.
  • Casting must be as close to the desired position as possible.
  • Patient name or ID must be written on the cast.
  • Fab Lab retains casts for 90 days in case of a re-make.

Fabrication Requirements

  • Work orders must be completed in full.
  • Corrections to mold must be indicated in the cast correction section of the work order.
  • Special instructions can be written on the designated section of the work order, or on the back side of the work order. The more detail, the better the outcome.
